Is there one? I got a US PS2 here and I got a PAL DVD of Pearl Harbor. It doesn't play even in SMS. Tried searching but all discussions I found so far are for the PS3.

The lastest matrix chip can do that, no software can play pal movies on ntcs system o viceversa. With games is different.Quote:

Well, if the problem was the region of the disc only, you could use like a RegionX disc, but playing PAL on NTSC consoles, only with a Modchip :(

What about DVD Region X or Zone Free 2005? ive seen products like this but ive never used them.
Like I said earlier.....no PAL movies on a NTSC Ps2 doesn´t matter if it´s modchipped or region x .....It has to do with hardware on the NTSC Ps2 that the PAL Ps2 doesn´t have :-).With the Ps3 it´s only the Gamesection that is regfree not the movies.That´s why the chipping isn´t soo..... forbidden here in Europe.If I buy a Game abroad so must I be able to play it ;-)
