Playing DVD movies...

Hey all,
Well, the prob is with my cousin's ps2... He has a SCPH-50004 PAL ps2 modded with somechip called M-CHIP3... the chip boasts that it can boot any media.. well it does but how do i play dvd's on the console? i've tried some players but din workout..

PS2 Reality:
I fire up PS2R and insert my DVD.. after that i go into the browser to browse and i see three folders..but i cant browse any of the folders (?).... i had also changed the media type to divx,avi in the PS2R player...

SMS:
i insert my dvd and here it lets me browse the folders but when i click on somethin then it says unsupported media format...

What should i do?? are there any other players that might do the trick?

hold the reset button until the picture comes on the screen when booting and it should play the dvd.
if not hold the reset button until picture comes up on screen, put in dvd and tap reset again
