how to play movie in a data dvd? –
hi all, is there any way to play some data dvd wich contain of course some video files with any version of SMS?
i need it really, plz help
Yes, sms can play data dvd. It can play mpeg1 mpeg2 avi divx xvid mp3 ogg.
You only need to make the dvd have sms, or install it on MC..
This will probably be unnessesary, but still the answer can be found in the sms manual by dave_t

This method has been tested many times by many people, and it works perfectly.
But there is one step where you can easily foul up, leading to your results.
Most likely you glossed over one sentence of the instructions too quickly, this being the sentence that says:

"Select DVD, and choose to create a DVD-Video."
Note that this describes two different selection processes in that single sentence.
First you select DVD as the main media type rather than CD, and this then changes the list of available specific media formats, where you must then select the "DVD-Video" entry, rather than the "DVD-ROM (ISO)" format which is the normally preselected default choice.
I'm sure you got the main "DVD" choice right, but I suspect you missed the "DVD-Video" format selection. And when burned with "DVD-ROM" format the PS2 mechacon is not going to allow the disc contents to be read, resulting in the error you got.
