I made a Partition on my PS2's partition strictly for divx/avi using HDD Format Tools, but I dont know how to stream videos into it. I'd like to know if its possible through use of a USB cable because Ethernet is too complicated with the FTP and all. As of now im using usb enclosure for my videos with SMS 1.6, but id rather have them stored in the internal hard drive.

Ive heard of cut and paste for launch elf, though I've never actually seen that option. If I can do that then I could browse the mass storage and it would be pretty simple right? Can someone offer me some suggestions? That would really help me out

If the files are on the HDD, I guess you can use SMS to play the avi/xvid files.

i have pondered over this question for some time as well now, cuz i prefer watchin movies on a bigger screen .....mainly, what i do is fairly simple, and very quick after some practice....

i stream movies in SMS by connecting the PS2 and PC using a network connection...this doesnt require copying the files into the ps2....just simply stream the files from the pc....

the downside is, that sometimes u wanna see a movie again n again....in such cases, i wud prefer to copy the avi files into my hd, cuz this frees the PC from being the host....but doing this using an FTP connection is too slow: takes about 75 minutes to copy....

I thought of an alternative (which doesnt work, just wrote it so nobody tries it):

to make a quick PS2 CD using CDGenPS2, in which u through in uLaunchELF, a SYSTEM.CNF that boots it, and the avi files...then compile the ISO (should take about 5 minutes)...attach the PS2 HD (should be easy if u use ur enclosure), and transfer the ISO using winHIIP....then attach the PS2 HD to the PS2...boot the CD image from HDL...now uLaunchELF should run.....here, the AVI files should be in cdfs:/ .....but the problem now is, that uLaunchELF doesnt see the HDD attached.....

so, the best method i have come across is streaming through a LAN connection....this normally takes me just about 2-3 minutes to setup now, after some practice....

I dont have my equipment at the moment but hopefully ill be able to copy the videos straight from my enclosure to the internal hdd's video file partition. Thanks alot u guys = )
