I just got my hands on a v2 ps2 ( i think ..serial is U0xxxxx scph 30001) ... never been modded..everything works perfectly except for dvd movie playback. It appears that a few seconds after i hit x to start playing the movie, the video output signal to my tv (i tried two different tvs and several dvds (backups..real...region free...etc) is no existant... All i get is sound...i can here the movie's menu starting up ... if i press x or whatever...the movie starts playing..i can press r1 and flip through chapters...however....throughout all this time... i have absolutely no picture on screen...and my tv looks as tho it does when there is no signal (blue screen or screen saying with the channel number "video3" viewable only) .... keep in mind that everything else works fine...the ps2 menu/os/browser works fine..sound and picture....real games....sfex3 and mgs2 work fine no problems..its just with dvd movies....can anyone help me out here???
