yeah use dvd decypter to rip the dvd into iso thenburn th eiso
This can only be done if the movie is 4.5 gigs or less. There are a lot of movies that are bigger tho. So you will need dvdshrink to compress to fit on the dvd. Sure there will be quality loss but none that will be noticeable unless you have a very action packed movie and even then its not that noticeable.Originally Posted by omegatron
mmm AnyDVD
"AnyDVD is a driver, which descrambles DVD-Movies automatically in the background. This DVD appears unprotected and region code free for all applications and the Windows operating system as well. With AnyDVD's help copy tools like CloneDVD, Pinnacle Instant Copy, InterVideo DVD-Copy, etc. are able to copy CSS protected Movies. With the help of AnyDVD you can watch movies with non matching region codes with every DVD Player Software you like!
AnyDVD decrypts not just DVDs: AnyDVD allows you also to play, copy and rip protected Audio CDs!"
try DVDShink, DVD2One and so on...with AnyDVD
k th just found out bout anydvd from my friend yesterday
sounds nice...maybe I should give it a try but then I don't like running my drive for that long anyway...I rather dump everything first then shrink it while it's in my HD
d
DVD Shrink then use dvd decrypter ist about the best solution because you can customize how you shrink the dvd ...It will put anything onto dvd4.7
its the other way round innitOriginally Posted by omegatron
Dvd decrypter, then use shrink (and open the file decrypter makes) to make it into a normal dvd

hahaha....those two goes hand-in-hand together so well sometime it got peeps confused...
If you're using DVD Shrink, why even bother with Decrypter at all?? Shrink can rip and compress files directly off the DVD, so there's no need whatsoever to rip the DVD files to your HDD first and then compress - it's a wasted step and takes time and storage space.
To original poster - just use DVD Shrink, insert DVD in ROM, then in Shrink click on the "Open Disc" option. Then you can either backup the entire disc, which leaves menus, etc, or you can pick the "Re-Author" option, and then just drag and drop the "Main Movie" to just keep that around with minimal compression.
Enjoy.
