I made the two things.
But now I have no time to test exactly what filename combination causes problems to the rom browser...
Ok I'm Trying to put this emulator on a cd. However for some reason I can't get it to work even with all the help from this forum.
Could it be that the system file that I'm using is not the proper one for this to work?
I just grabbed one from a different emulator cause PVCS never came with one from the zip file.
Any help would be apreciated. Thanks
What happens when you try to boot the emu?
SYSTEM.CNF contents:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\PVCS.ELF;1
VER = 1.30
VMODE = NTSC
Right Now browser just says Unknown disc.Quote:

I was able to put the elf file on mc. and then boot roms from cd, however I'd rather just have everythin on cd. Thanks for any help you could give.
I got the exact same result as you the first time I tried to make a disc. I think it was because my SYSTEM.CNF file was wrong. Did you try it yet using the file I posted? Make sure you follow the correct directory heirarchy (see post #4), and set your LBA's (see post #11). Do not include FILES.TXT.
Good luck.
Hi using cdgenPS2 I placed the system file from a different emu., PVCS.elf, and a Roms folder with all files in CAPS.
changed lba, as was mentioned, created iso, and burned with Alcohol.
I think I'm doing everything right, could it be burning program, or CDR?
It won't work if you are using a SYSTEM.CNF file from a different emu. Make your own- just copy and paste the text I posted. Sounds like you have other emu's working, so as long as you are using the same media and burning software you used for the other emu's, then that is not the problem.
OK Got it working now, just didn't realize you had to make your own System.cfg.
Thanks Richln for your help much aprecited :)
I have been having a lot of trouble getting PVCS to work. I tried burning a cd several different ways but it never plays for me. So I decided to use PSXeven to test the ISO before burning it but have been unsucessful in getting a working ISO.
First I created a system.cnf with the following.
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\PVCS.ELF;1
VER = 1.30
VMODE = NTSC
Then using cdgenPS2 I added the system.cnf, pvcs.elf and finally the ROMS folder I have with all ROMs ending in .BIN. I change the LBA to 12231 for the system.cnf and create an ISO. Is there something obvious that I'm missing? Your help is greatly appreciated.
