Honestly, playing a few neogeo cd games won't harm your ps2

(i know that since the hdloader came out, reading stuff from cd has been considered like the worst thing ever, but it has really became ridiculous...)

i did run some games off the hdd just as a try a year ago or more, so yes ^_^
By the way, you must not use the .iso file! extract all the files from this iso and put them at the root (if you want to combine the emu+game). And since cdda is not supported that way, i don't think you even need to put the cdda tracks (not sure on this part).

And no, you can't use DVDs to burn neogeo games

Hello everyone I am new to this site, I had been trying to run games from Neocd. I can run NeoCD but I can't run the games it won't show on the screen. Can anyone kindly help me out wiht it...

I've managed to play from hdd. But there is no music, just sound effects. Here is how i did it (thanks to Experiment1106): i've extracted the files from the neo geo cd (the iso and the tracks) then i've extracted the files from the iso. Then in cdgenps2 i put the neocd.elf, the bin and the cfg, and then the files i've extracted from the iso. With all this i create an image, then i've uploaded the image to HDD using WinHIIP, and run it from ps2 with HDLoader. It works

I just gotta love someone who figures it out for themselves, instead of whining till someone unscrews them, which I've done countless times (unscrewing whining noobs, that is) and then shares their findings and/or procedure with the rest of us.

This procedure I've followed is not posted in this section so I thought it will be useful for other users in trouble. I'm a n00b too in my way, but like the custom title says: I learn verry fast
