I've burned 2 discs, and I got the same result.

One of the discs: neocd.elf+all files needed(included neocd.bin) when i did this cd, it was 0.4 version. I tried to run it on my unmodded ps2(with swap magic and breaker pro) and I got a frozen screen, and cd don't stop spinning(so I can“t do anything, y have to reset my ps2).

The other disc: neocd.elf+all files needed+all archives from metal slug 1 cd(original cd, of course). I got the same frozen screen.(with version 0.5)

Is there any way to run this emulator on my unmodded ps2?

Sorry about my bad English, I“m from spain.

well, first if you copy both the emu and a game on the same disc, be sure to put ALL files (so the emulator, bios and all games files) at the root level (don't put the game under a cd directory as this is used for host loading).

Also, (but i'm sure your understood it), you must copy the games files, copied from your original neogeo cd game or extracted from an iso.

Last point, my brother is running it (last 0.5 version) on an unmodded pstwo using swap magic (also burning both emu and a game on the same cd), and he 's playing puzzle bobble since 2 days now.. :P so I guess it's a problem on your side.

    let me know !

evilo thank you for your answer

i have done all what you are telling me. all files are at the root level, including the .mp3 files that metal slug includes(i think this files won't be played, am i ok?)

I forgot to try it with swap magic 3.3, i“ll try now.

and another question: is it easy to understand my english? XD

    I'll tell you the results.

what version of swap magic is using your brother?

    Edit:

ok, i tried it now with swap magic 3.3 cd, and it runs!!! with frameskip it goes well... but without the mp3 sound. I“m waiting for this answer, can the emu play this mp3?

Ahh I'm happy that you finally got it running !

    concerning your questions :

    1. yes my brother is using swap magic 3.3 too
    2. yes your english is good, but anyway I'm not english/american myself..so !
    3. no, mp3 won't be played, there is no audio track support atm, beeing CDDA tracks on the CD, or ripped mp3. The only music you can have now is the FM emulation (like in puzzle bobble, but as far as I know this is the only ngcd game using it)

    enjoy metal slug
