With this game disc holds data track with 511 files (!) and 49 audio tracks.
So i build mixed disc with NGCD data in CD folder (and added audio tracks of course).
Moving cursor in main menu makes speech asynchronous.
After selecting new option speech is synchronous again.
Game's built-in CD player works fine and i can play all audio tracks (on a real PS2).
Game randomly freezes when loading selected disc contents from main menu or turning back from CD player to main menu.
As i don't have TV card, i made some screenshots with PCSX2 (where audio wont work, but that's not your problem).

Note that you don't need to use a CD folder, you can just mix both the game files and emulators files at the root level and it should be fine. I use the CD folder when booting from host (to keep my neocd directory clean on my pc).
Also, random freeze seems to be fixed in my wip version (0.6c) together with others cdda issue and other bug fixes, but i'd like to solve that swap issue (problem of toc refresh) before I release it.

I already wondered why it got an IOPprintf "booting from host" :rolleyes:Quote:

I noticed i cannot boot a disc which holds only an uncompressed NEOCD.BIN
i.e. NeoCD 0.6b searches for BIOS.ZIP in first place and if it cannot find it, booting stops

no, a compressed bios is not mandatory, and is more for booting from the MC (where memory is limited).
I honnestly didn't tested it from CD, but when booting from a CD we don't really care about an additional 512Kb file, and when loading from host it really slowdown the boot time, so it's really only adapted to the MC ;)
On my ps2 I can boot CD with uncompressed bios, it's weird that you have that problem...
The emu first look for the zipped bios (bios.zip), and if not found, looks for the uncompressed one (neocd.bin)
I take note of the bug anyway :)
is your log an output from PCSX2 ? or from a real PS2 ?
thank you,
evilo
output from PCSX2, but i get the problem also with HDQuote:

I use in hdd for this I not sure about CDDA compatibility in this game.
The game not run at full speed all time, little slowdown sometimes, but if I turn on frameskip option solve this.
