  1. #21 Unhappy CD Creation with CDgenPS2 not working
    avata666 Guest
    Hy folks,

    your instruction isn't working.

I'll tell you my step, perhaps there is a mistake:

    1) I have game *.iso and mp3s

    2) I use isobuster to get the data of the *.iso to my HD

    3) I open CDGenPS2 and use "drag'n'drop" to put the file data there

    4) I put the NEOCD/PS2 Data there without cd folder (same directory than 3)

    4) I create an image

    5) I place the new image + cue + the mp3s in a new folder

    6) I tried to use Sega File Maker but it seems that it onley works with *.wav (Error MSG)

    7) I modify the file with you *.cue instructions

    8) I open the image with nero (works)

    9) I burn it (works, too)

    10) I place it in my playstation

    11) The screen with the CD and the memcard appears

    12) CD won't work.......

    I have a slimline with a modbo.

If I only place the files in the cd folder of the emulator the game works without sound.

    Your isn't working....

    Please HHHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP

    Ok pal:

    My cue looks like this:

    FILE "imagen.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 02.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 02 AUDIO
    PREGAP 00:03:00
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 03.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 03 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 04.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 04 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 05.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 05 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 06.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 06 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 07.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 07 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 08.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 08 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 09.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 09 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 10.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 10 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 11.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 11 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 12.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 12 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 13.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 13 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 14.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 14 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 15.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 15 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "original_Iso_Name - Track 16.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 16 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

of course I included the NG-bios

To my mind the order of the data in the newly created iso isn't important or?

Perhaps I made somewhere else a mistake or I'm simply to stupid :-)

    Please give me instructions...

    -------------------------------------------------------
    OK-----the order was important.

Now the game is running again but I still don't have music!?

    Please give a complete WALKTHROUGH....

I really can't find my mistake

Do I have to include the mp3s somewhere else?

I only enter them in the*.cue...

    Hello
I have a problem. I do what you said (same things als avata666) but with HDLoader my game don't start (i have a black screen) and with a windows emulator my game start perfectly with sound and tracks. But if i do Nashismo way, Hdloader start my game but without music (only sound). What I must do?
    (i can't play cds because i have a unmodded ps2)

When you will play NeoCD games on a unmodded Ps2 you must make an Iso with the Emu and the Gamedata at 1 Disc.
It works for me perfect but you have no music but the Game FX works perfectly.

@Experiment how exactly are you doing that image to put it on HDD and play it? I'm trying verry hard and i didn't make it. If you have the time, please put a short tutorial from the iso+traks of neo geo cd game and the files from the emu to actually play from hdd. Many many thanks

So... how to make an image with all this from the iso and mp3?

    First you will need...
The game files (ISO + mp3).
    Notepad.
    Nero (I used 5.5).

Then we'll have to create a "cue" file (this is the trick).
Open the notepad an paste this..

    FILE "gamename.iso" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2048
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 02.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 02 AUDIO
    PREGAP 00:03:00
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 03.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 03 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 04.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 04 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 05.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 05 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 06.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 06 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 07.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 07 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 08.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 08 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 09.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 09 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 10.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 10 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 11.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 11 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 12.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 12 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 13.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 13 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 14.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 14 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "Track 15.mp3" MP3
    TRACK 15 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

replace "gamename.iso" with the filename of your iso file, and the track names with the mp3 filenames keeping an eye on the placement order.

then save the file as "anything.cue", and put it in the same folder as the iso and mp3 files.

then open Nero, go to "recorder", then "choose recorder", then "image recorder" and press "OK".

Then go to "file" -> "Burn Image", search the cue file that you created and click "open". then write the image, and nero will ask you where.

Finally burn it with the software you like.

(you could write directly to a cdr instead of an image, but nero has to convert the mp3 to cda so i recomend you to build the image first).

    That's it..

The other way, (i haven't tried it yet)... is to extract the iso content and build a mixed cd with nero, drag the extracted files to the data field, and the mp3s to the audio field. Then burn. Let me know if it works.
Anyway, I think the first method is the best one.

    Hope it helps.
    bye bye.

Hello everyone I am new to this thing. I had used CDpgen to run the emulator on NeoCDps2 but I can make the game run. I had read every post but it get me kind of confuse. would anyone kindly can help me out with this? I will thankz in advances.

ok i make it short ......
place the neocd Emu files in CDgen with the bios and the sytem.cnf

Then unpack the iso from the game and put these files in CDgen too.

Forget the MP3 stuff this work for me not too.

thats all in cdgen make an iso and burn -- you have lost the background music but the FX are in the game is working.

Hope this helps for you to play neogeoCD
