I want to install two 4" Cold Cathode lights in my v4 PS2. Here's a pic of the lights.

But I'm not sure how to power it. I have a clear case too, and I wanted to light it up. But I also just got one of the limited edition white ones, so I'm gonna keep the white one, get rid of the clear one.

I'm just going to stick with what i have planned on doing and hope it works.

I took my ps2 apart and used a multimeter to find two nodes i could solder to for a ground and a 12v source.....i could solder the ground to the metal that makes up the hdd bay for a ground but something could go wrong. I'm even going to use the switch that came with the light, just can't think of where i want to put it....i think i might make a hole in the hdd bay cover big enough for it to fit snuggly in there nice and flush.

I have no camera to take pictures of it though...maybe i'll borrow my grandpa's once i get the light installed.

look at the psu, from the greenboard side or bottom, with the notched corner at your upper left, then look opposite to the lower right corner, see 2 groups of diamond shapes clustered like "M"? this is the same point that the plastic female the board pins stab is soldered...that's 12v there, neg right pos left or inner, same goes for those four pins from the board, left 2, right 2.
