Hi. i was thinking about buying a crystal clear fliptop case because I use swap magic. a friend of mine said there are some leds that work by usb. maybe i should buy one of those to put inside the ps. i dont want to solder anything because i can ruin the ps putting anything that drains too much power from the ps. what do you think?

Indeed you could, but you'd have an ugly wire running in the front of your PS2. You could take power from the USB port by soldering just two wires. As far as I know, it won't kill your PS2 or anything since the USB voltage is regulated.
