stone age PS2

Here's some pictures of my PS2 case mod.

I own a video game store called "The Game Cave" and plan on having this system out on display to show the type of things we can do. to fit the theme of my store I did my best to make it look like it was chizzled out of stone. it's hard to see in these pictures (crappy camera) but all the smooth edges have been roughened up to actully look chizzled. also the "PS2" logo was cut out and is lit up in purple, it looks nice in person but in these pictures you can't even tell theres a light. I really should invest in a better camera some day.

these pictures are pretty big (56K warning). I will move them to my own site soon but just wanted to get them up quickly until then.

Damn Thats YouR Store! Lolololololol... Wow Costomers Usually Mess Up The Store But I See The Work Has Been Done For Them Lolol ... But I Like The Ps2.! Did U Use A Template For The Detailed Window? Or Did U Free Hand It? ...and Wat Did U Use To Do The Cuts

I did a hand drawn template, pretty much a piece of paper with a bunch of lines on it. I taped in on and cut it out. so basically it's a freehand template. I used a dremmel with a slot cutter wheel for all the cutting. (those slot cutters will cut through anything). I actully used a hobby knife (exacto knife) for roughing up the edging.

nope, it was taped to the case as i gut it out, and since it was only made from paper it was compleatly torn to bits by the time I was through. I didn't make any copies of it or anything since i don't plan on making another case exactly like this one. it was just a little square piece of paper with black lines all over it, drawn with a Sharpie, In the design that you see on the case. nothing real special and not a whole lot of thought put into it (just random lines)

EDIT: oh wait, I just re-read you post. I thought you were asking for a picture of the teplate I drew. I see now that you just wanted to see the actual window.. I'll get you a pic as soon as I can. just a warning though, my camera sucks ass with close up pictures.

Here you go. remember, my camera sucks!

Theres one of the top window (with a disc in it) one of the bottom window (I thin this is what you wanted to see) and one of my memory card (which also has a blue LED in it)

the colors of the LEDs came out wierd in these pictures, the lights are actully blue (and purple behind the "PS2")
