Sony DVD Remote IR Sensor Mod

If I recall there was a post around here or another forum about a mod that you take apart the IR sensor to the sony dvd remote and you mod it to the ps2 so it doesnt take up a whole controller port. Anyone know how to do this or got a tut? thanks

To the best of my knowledge there is no PS2 tutorial, and and I don't believe it has been done yet (edit: correction, apparently it has). It would be the same concept as hardwiring the IR sensor to an xbox, so I would read this tutorial, find twisted's reasoning and use of the inverter, and come up with your own ideas looking at the schematics for the PS2. After doing this mod for the xbox, I can tell you, its HARD:

yes someone did it at ps2nfo they had pics and such but since im banned I cannot link you guys the guy never really released a tut he just said he did it. Well thanks for the info guys the reason I ask is cause im not to electronic savy I kno my way around but im no Loy,Dalai Liam, spicymeatball91 or pro modder, I might attempt this if I figure out what are the solder points to the control thingy(cant think of name :-D)
