oh c'mon, i know atleast that much.. i connected a 120ohms resistor to the LED...i din connect directly!...lol...but what bout the prob now?

but wat cud be the prob?...damn, i've fixed like 18 consoles to date(jus started) but neva had this prob! and it had to happen to me!
Take 5V from the motherboard,dont take it from the PSU(12V) unless you want the leds to stay on permenently.
I recomend taking it from the usb connector (see pic),it was taken from the duo3 install diagram.
BTW sounds like your laser is dead,but to be honest I dont think the Led to 12V killed it though....
