    --------------
    3 x 0603 SMD Leds.

Flux ( best stuff ever made ) helps a lot in removal

    Soldering Iron and solder

Pin or very fine needle and maybe some desolder braid.

    PATIENCE
    -------------------

Eject light is the simplest , remove the old led and place new one the same way.

there are several ways to remove the led,

    1) single soldering iron flux and pin, ( my prefered way )
    2) Break the top off the original led, place some flux over both solder pads, and heat the middle, and the led should come away leaving 2 solder pads.
    3) get someone who knows what they are doing to do it for you.

    -----------------------------------

the bicolour led is a bitch to remove, personally how i removed it was to completley destroy the led so to speak, i used my soldering iron to remove the top of the led, so just the base remains, then remove the led bitss at a time by breakin bits with the iron, Flux is an absolute must for this led.

    -----------------------------------

attatched is a quick diagram of how the bicolour led CAN be replaced with 2 led's...

    -----------------------------------
ill post my ps2 once i take the pics off my cam, unfortunalty i did not do a step by step guide, i broke the bit of plastic where the screw is, so i cant be bothered to take the ps2 apart again, cus its a biatch to get the power switch to sit right.

    Best Regards and good luck

    Furgo.....

    p.s
http://www.all4cell.com/led/solder.html this is a quide showin how to remove smd led's from mobile/cell phones..

Final Note -- read some guides on how to change led's on mobile/cell phones as these willl help and aid you very well........UPDATEDisregard where it says all led's need to be the same,. i figured out why mine wern't working right

Turns out my power line wasn't working very good, so i tapped the adjacent led and now i have both power and standby led's working,so once again you can definitly use what ever colours you want and THEY DON'T need to be the same voltage

Sorry for the inconvinience (sp?) and cheers to loy for proving me wrong,

Best regards and good look to those who are attempting the mod

SCPH-5003 V9 Matrix InfinIty,Romeo Mod + summOne fix ( Added 560ohm resistor on tracking coil, Focus Coil untouched at the minute ) My Advice don't use the resistor fix with v9-10
SCPH-102 mini playstation unmodded at the moment ( blue led power light replacement )
    MS XBOX 1.5 Xenium V1

had to remove the resistor as only dvd films would play an they struggled. orginal ps2 both cd an dvd would not load and backup ps2 games would not boot, removed the resistor an all is beautifal again.

ye def sure it aint possible to mix them on the power/standby led, unless my soldering is wrong, which i doubt highly, as i pre tin my led's, so i know contact will be made, its like when changing the led's on a phone you can have seperate colours for screen and keypad, but can't mix 2v led's wih 3.6v led's, only one will light up and thats the one that needs most power for some reason...

Yeah with the phone because it's done in on thr same line. In a phone it's power to the resistor then to the leds in the ps2 it's a 12v to a resistor to the red led then power to another resistor to the led. I have to test it out. I used to do phone leds to heres a pic of wat used to me my ps2 with a white eject led

Remember though it is a bicolour led, not 2 seperate ones, if it was then it would be straight forward swapping, but unfortunatly for me it aint worked. i have it setup as white for power ( red for standby, which does not work ) and TG blue for eject, and like i said for me it daint work, maybe i was just unlucky and had a bad led, but it looks good and i never understood the use of the standby led anyway......

if wat u said is true u couldn't have different leds between the power and eject as the eject led is also basically in the same power line . it's also 12v to a resistor to a leds the 12v is the same for all three leds. S i'm pretty sure u can change the standby led
