04-19-2005,01:17 PMIf there are little "wire" leads sticking out, or components stuck in between, then yes. Solder is melted betwenn the copper "trace" or the "wiring" on a circuit board and the component (resistor, capacitor, chip, etc) in the circuit to make a connection and hold them in place.
...think of it as small scale welding.
