OK I have finished with the design of the EL logo mod you may have seen pics of the LED mod which was ok but using EL light I can now pretty much put the cutout where I want takes about 10 minuites to cut out no filing nessessary. It is filled in with a slow setting clear epoxy. I used a tiny 3.3 volt inverter that fits in perfect in the slimline PS2. The pictures do not do justice. I used a transparancy with a gradiant blue just like the original colors so when the light is off the EL light does not look white.

I also have a custom JIG for the larger PS2 for the cutout. The next PS2 light Project involves a night rider type LED display with LAN light. Uses 7 SM LEDS a 4017, 2 transistors, 2 caps and 2 resistors on custom made crcuit board. Its tiny all SM parts. Fits in front grill of PSTWO. (Hope it doesent generate heat or impede air flow). I will post the circuit board layout for the do it yourselfer. Or I may have kits if People have a interest.

That night rider type would be very cool. I think people could be interested in kits for that, if it didn't hender airflow, like you said.

This looks really awesome. I'm not one who might be able to do this kind of thing, but I would be interested in a kit for PStwo.
    Hardware
    1 PS2 V3 running FMCB, HDLoader (120 GB)
    1 beatmaniaIIDX controller
    3 Sony 8MB PS2 memory cards
    1 MadCatz PS1 memory card
    3 Dual Shock controllers

1 PlayStation 3 fat no BC
    1 Teensy 2.0 board

    1 Xbox 360 JTAG'd
