why would u run a car stero off it lol... why not take a normal plug and splice it and run straigh to radio
)it's 12v at about 75 watts. not much power...
Ok the idea is to make a portable sterio out of a car sterio but coz they run off 12v i can just plug it in coz our power supply is 240v so i need some sort of transformer, so if i used the ps2 power supply board i could use the switch and plug from it and just solder the connections to the board if its powerfull enough to run it
If you want to power a car stereo u could use a 12v car battery charger. Probably easier than messin with the ps2 internals![]()
tried a car charger but it struggles to power it, all i was just gonna do was get a ps2 power board and fix it inside a box with the car stereo so i wouldnt be messin up a ps2
I had a similar Idea, I was gonna build my own Guitar amp with DSP's built in, using a ps2 PSU, car stereo for the amp and build my own pre-amps.
Still in the imagination stage at the mo though...
well im gonna give it a go pretty soon so ill let you know how i get on
