Hey, I'm fairly new to PS2 case modding but, I would like to start off with something simple.
I took quite a liking to Xmod's configuration that he made here
What would I need to buy and do to achieve this cool effect?
Any help at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks! :)
Hi, I also liked his very much, I went to OSH and bought some nice silver spray paint and put one strand of tape all around the PS2 to make a stripe. then sprayed it. looks awesome to. Make sure to take the guts out of the PS2 though, don't wanna damage anything.

Is there a guide to safely taking the "guts" out of the ps2? I'm a bit clumsy :-/

well still, if u've got a fattie PS2, then unscrew the fan on the guts and take em' out, if thats what u wanted!
Yeah, I wanted to get it done by xmod but the money got messed up when I tried to send it and stuff

your ribbon cables, but go easy and dont jerk at anything, disassembling is pretty self explanatory...
Which version the PS2 is? Mine was a v10(v9 is also same) so i just open the bottom screws(8) and then lifted thetop cover.. after that, i unscrewed the controller ports because they are screwed in the bottom half of the case, after that i inverted the PS2 upside down and lifted the bottom case.. it was that easy for me..and yeah, unscrew he fan too to take of the grill at the back...and if you've got a NA, then unscrew that too..Quote:

Well, I have a v1 ps2 with 10 screws. Hopefully nothing is horribly different.
ummm... actually, everything IS horribly different and its a lot harder to get it to open up i guess.. but its not impossible, so try and post the results...Quote:
