I have very little knowledge of electronics, but from what I have read, when you press the eject button on your PS2, it sends voltage to the CPU and tells it that the tray has been opened. Here comes my idea. Wouldn't it be easy to just put in an external switch to fool the system into thinking it is closed? Perhaps using a multimeter and some wires to see the voltage it sends when you press the eject button. Just some food for thought.
