Never seen or heard of anyone doing that before. Seems very interesting though. Please do it and post pics.
That would be very pimp if u could fab up so when u lift up the flap on the front of the NES case the PS2 tray pops out for u to load ur game.
yeah that's exactly what i was thinking. I want to fdo it but i cant right now cuz i only have one ps2 and im in the middle of moding it so i'll have to do it with one of my freind's if they'll let me :P or i might just say screw it and use mine if i cant find one to work on i'll keep my finger's crossed.
Is the NES case big enough for the PS2 m/b or are you going to use a PSTwo?
Yup it's gonna be a ps2 normal one not the slimline one (although it would probobly fit better) as far as fiting im not sure yet tommorow i'll crack open my ps2 and measure everything and dig out my old NES and measure that and make sure everything'll fit ok im not so much worried about the fit as i am the dvd tray cuz it's on the right side but the opening for the NES is on the left so if the wire's dont go far enough im gonna have to figure that all out.
I measured it and it should fit it'll be kinda tight but it'll work.
ya it would not be hard if it would fit. make sure you wire up the ports so they work threw the nes ports thats the easy part and then make sure you use the regular nes power and reset (eject) for it you need to take the spring out of the reset button to make it work like a regular momentary push button, if i were you guys i would use a v1 their mother boards are the size of the dvd drive, and if you are lucky you could prolly fit a modded network adapter and a hdd inside of there also.
Ok i just wrote down the measurment's of the nes case and the ps2 here's the spec's on the nes case 10" side to side 8" front to back 3 1/2 top to bottom and here's the ps2 case spec's 11 3/4" side to side 7" front to back 3 1/8" top to bottom so it fit's no problem everywere but the width i gotta loose a inch and three quarter's somewere width wise actualy never mind i just looked at the inside of the ps2 again and if i move the dvd drive closer to where the heat sink's are and take out the stupid hard drive metal case thing i've got ton's of room i forgot to factor in the fact that the ps2 case it self has those slot thing's on the out side of it which add's about a quarter of an inch so yeah i've got ton's of room now i just have to clean up the nes and gut it it's covered in some wierd lookin cobweb's and dirt even spider egg's lol :P
If you ever get a pic of this, please post...im extremely intrested in doing this to my ps2 if it works out for you. I always knew there was a reason i had my old NES laying around...
