Yeah, I definitely need to make it all one color now that its done. I just cut up a 40 wire ribbion cable to about 5 inches, being sure to leave a connector on one end, then clamped a 40 pin male IDC (PP-IDM40 40p IDC Male Header) header onto the other. Very simple. Here's the link of where i purchased it from. http://www.action-electronics.com/panpac.htm#Idcmale
that things a flippin beast! you could probably get like 4 HDDs in there. DO IT! haha
Im going to be working on somthing similar but im going to use a spare ps2 case
it will have 2x300gig hard drives the only thing stoping me is the power supply
also it will be usb for usb advance any ideas on the power supply small as poss?![]()
for the power you could use a laptop drive and pull power
from the usb port.
If you want to add 2 300gig hd to your ps2, maybe you should go with HD Advance/Loader... It wouldn't cost much more and the comptatibility (and loading time) will be muuuch better.
Yeh i suppose your right as i use customized hdloader at the mo with myOriginally Posted by BakaNeko

just thinking about the technical side which i dont have skills in like soldering
and stuff like that![]()
how many Hdd`s are in there?

Just one. Sadly I didn't take a picture of the HD rack glued to the bottom of the original PS2 before I added the second PS2 bottom on top of it. With the size of the removable rack, there isn't room for a second hard drive on the bottom. You would have to make it internal and place in the orginal spot.Originally Posted by ÇÐ~kÂ??
Im doing something similar, although it will be slightly more compact but basically the same idea of the built in rack. Im interested in how you extended the case so nicely. Could ya give us a bondo-ing lesson for dummies? Nice work!
