MC activity LED?

how about puttin an LED inside your memory card wit a hole so that where ever u take your MC , you can see your led glow.

any ideas

im going to be doing this mod in a few days , gotta hit up radio shack and get sum LEDs , and solder.

can i ask you a question.
would u be able to tell me how powerful that led is?
and the same for the resistors?>
so this way i can mimmick that same set up.

As for the values:
You can see a diagram with the values in pic 2, the LED i don´t know really, I didn´t understand the doc too well... I guess you should use a 20 mA led or something, but i don´t know the voltage....

has anyoen on here done this mod yet? if so , what exatly did you use,(led ,resistors)

For the resistors use 10K Ohm and 330 Ohm.
also, get a 2sc1815 transistor.

As for the led, get a 3mm type, I used a 650 mcd royal blue LED. It´s maximum current is 20 mA, but it lights up just fine if it gets less. So just try to get a led with the colour of your choice, but small enough (3mm) and it should work fine

Wish I had man, i´m too cheap to get a digicam, when I get round to it, i´ll get a mates digicam.


BTW, if you have problems fitting in your led, don´t hesitate to file off the top lens part of the led... as long as you don´t go all the way down to the metal thingies (anode and kathode)

ill be buying this in a few hours lol... prolly do it in like 10-20 mins. .. you know any other MC mods? i might paint it i dunno.. ..kindda thinking of cuting out the rectangle shaped lable spot on the front of it and puttin sum sort of thin window... but i dont know what would be that thin. (maybe that clear plastic that comes on envelopse you get in the mail where it covers your mailing address but you can see thru it and it kinda crumples a little. usaully on bills lol) i dont know if that the best way to do this. think its worth it?
