hey guys i want a mod of system memory indicating LED in there... so everytime the ps2 "thinks", it flashes.... and im designing to put it in series along in a line, with different resistor values, so it would look like a "bar".

also, i would like to do that to the disk reader as well...though it would be easier.
    my modding:
matrix infinity: on and off 6 times
external speakers /w leading wire: done
memory card LED (activity + connectivity): done
controller status LED change + vibration LED: done
    color-change lighting in v12: done
rgb to vga for monitors: FAILED due to not enough material
portable/internal LCD: sadly failed, as ps1 screen doesnt fit. planning same mod with intec screen
external harddisk for v12: CANCELED due to v12 breakdown
window for ps2 dvd-drive mod: in progress

I think you would do it the same as you would the x-box. You need to find the ground(-) on the hardware you want to make a light for then solder a splice between the original ground(-) and your new ground(-) that goes to your LED. Don't forget to add a resistor and find a place for a strong
power(+) connection as well. But from looking at your signature, your probably done this more that once with LED's.

Offtopic: Are you modding a PS2 Slim or a original PS2? Just wondering because I traded in my old, chubby PS2 for the new Slim line and I am a little dissapointed with the modding options.
