You should get 3mm LED and resitors from 100OHM to probably 175OHM, shouldnt be more or less. If more the led wont turn on, if less, i guess the controller would short circuit.
    Or something bad like that.
I am glad to see the interest in PS2 Case modding..................
    Yah Right

As far as resistor's it depend's on what power source your hooking the led's up to in the controller, there's quite a few choices.
    PS2
    Custom case window : Done
Custom japanese case dremil engraveing : Done
Controller analog led swap/hooked up to vibration : Done
    Memory card windows : Done
Memory card interior LED : Doing it next weekend
Controller plug window : Doing it next weekend
Conrtoller plug interior LED : Doing it next weekend
Controller case LED's : Were in but they were to dim so im gonna get new one's
ps2 interior case LED's :In progress
    Power/reset LED swap :In progress
    LED fan swap :In progress

Custom N64 NES case : Done but 2 of the 6 led's died not sure why i'll fix it later.

Yah, but i think the controller uses 5v, if that is the case then those resistors are just about right.

I've got a blue led hooked up to the vibration for the analog light i used a 100 ohm resistor for it it's REALY bright though i'd say use something a little higher then that but i have 4 led's hooked up to a active sorce in the controller and i used 100 ohm's for them to and they're fine.

digikey and mouser are good online stores... mouser has a PDF catalog that you can download... and they will send the 500 page catalog if you request it.
