...3mm led will be easier to install...
resistor... just go on google search for the calculator and find it yourself as its not always the same... depand on number of leds.... serial or parallel .....have fun
You should get 3mm LED and resitors from 100OHM to probably 175OHM, shouldnt be more or less. If more the led wont turn on, if less, i guess the controller would short circuit.
Or something bad like that.
I am glad to see the interest in PS2 Case modding..................
Yah Right
As far as resistor's it depend's on what power source your hooking the led's up to in the controller, there's quite a few choices.
Yah, but i think the controller uses 5v, if that is the case then those resistors are just about right.
I've got a blue led hooked up to the vibration for the analog light i used a 100 ohm resistor for it it's REALY bright though i'd say use something a little higher then that but i have 4 led's hooked up to a active sorce in the controller and i used 100 ohm's for them to and they're fine.
Radioshack is the most overpriced place i have ever seen for electronic parts. i buy all of my stuff off ebay.
digikey and mouser are good online stores... mouser has a PDF catalog that you can download... and they will send the 500 page catalog if you request it.
