k, got a slim ps2 from a buddy... he obviously dropped it and broke the **** out of the case. Only problem is the lid is broken... I know on the original PS, you could press down a tab when the lid is up and the disc will spin... i found a little tab on the top left where the lid would press down, but it doesn't make it spin. Where else has to be compressed for the disc to spin? Thanks in advance!

u have to press down THREE tabs at the same time, instead of one. look at your ps2, put the ps2 the normal way u would put it, with the controller port facing you. then look at the disk reader. on the top left there's a tab, on the bottom right there's one, and the other one i believe is somewhere on the right. i dont remember it that well, since there's been a while after i tempered with a V12, and maybe there's just two tabs.
its always a good idea to take the case open and look at the lid, see where it "presses"
    my modding:
matrix infinity: on and off 6 times
external speakers /w leading wire: done
memory card LED (activity + connectivity): done
controller status LED change + vibration LED: done
    color-change lighting in v12: done
rgb to vga for monitors: FAILED due to not enough material
portable/internal LCD: sadly failed, as ps1 screen doesnt fit. planning same mod with intec screen
external harddisk for v12: CANCELED due to v12 breakdown
window for ps2 dvd-drive mod: in progress

    yeh, theres 2 tabs
the one by the reset switch and then the other at the back corner neer the middle of ps2 not outer edge, so diagonally from reset switch.
    Many have asked

good job fixing it! nice to hear that u got it back working again. i would recommand desolder the buttons and cross the two points, if you have a soldering iron, that way you wont have to tape the buttons down when u play.

yeah... it's no longer working... lol I live with 2 girls (which can be unfortunate because both are blonde...)... i left the power supply connected while I went down the street to get some cigs(left the ps2 on the coffee table), came back to find the ps2 in pieces. According to one of my roommates, she spilled coke on it, unplugged and left it sitting there. Then her stupid ****in dog chewed the fan off, ate off the plastic on the disc drive, chewed the top portion of the board that connects to the lower board via the white plug. Thank god it was free. Her dog will be hanging from Apt. E-10's balcony, Autumn Chase Apartments if yall want to come see!!! lol
