    is there a way to use a pc fan instead of the ps2 fan?

    I suppose so, but it would be a pain to fir in the ps2 case.

    the ps2 fan looks like a standard 80mm fan, but the problem is it's not exactly standard :P it has proprietary screw holes to fit the ps2 cover. if you wish to replace it you'll have to use hot glue/silicone to hold it in place. either that or just remove the existing one, and screw another directly onto the rear of the case externally.

    Yeah it would probably look great but would it keep the parts inside cool enough? If you start moving the fan around to different places then you change the airflow and I'm not so certain that's such a great idea. I know I'm no fun but I just stick to basic paint jobs and sometimes chrome. Sometimes less is more. I got one on ebay now. It's item# 8138156962
