Hi does anyone here think covering my v4 ps2 in fur is a good idea or would it over heat or something
i dont think anyone has ever tried it, you might just be the first try it out and tell us what happends.
As long as you don't cover any of the slots or holes you should be fine. Just make sure you still got the airflow through the grills. Will your furry new friend be litter trained?
I've seen it done on motorcycles...why not a ps2? As techguy said, as long as you don't cover any of the grills or fan, you should be fine. The plastic itself doesn't dissipate any heat anyway so it shouldn't matter if you cover it.
Ok i went out and bought some fur today im gonna glue it on later but im thinking how will my cold cathodes shine through so im gonna have to dremel out my ps2 logo and put some clear plastic behind it (which i have luckily) then im gonna make a template of the side so i can cut the fabric to my ps2s logo and the position of it and then once ive done that im gonna stick the rest on and it should look pretty sweet (im cutting it so i can dismantle the case as well)
make sure you post some pics when you get it done!
Yes.... don't forget pics... your gonna want to use some VERY quick drying glue you you can stretch it on there correctly. It really shouldn't be that hard.
ok thanks guys i did it last night and it seems to work fine and looks really sweet ill try and get someone to lend me a digi cam my only worryis getting fur in my ports so im gonna give it trim with a razor tonight so ill keep you posted
cheers,
Ross
Congradulations, I'm glad everything worked out for you. If you are still worried about getting fur in the ports after you trim it, you may just want to keep your mem cards and controllers connected all the time. If you're not taking them out and plugging them back in constantly, I doubt you will have a problem.
Thanks guys ill see what i can do about those pics
