u mean... like changing the color of the LED or making it the controller "blink" whenever it "shakes".
    my modding:
matrix infinity: on and off 6 times
external speakers /w leading wire: done
memory card LED (activity + connectivity): done
controller status LED change + vibration LED: done
    color-change lighting in v12: done
rgb to vga for monitors: FAILED due to not enough material
portable/internal LCD: sadly failed, as ps1 screen doesnt fit. planning same mod with intec screen
external harddisk for v12: CANCELED due to v12 breakdown
window for ps2 dvd-drive mod: in progress

Zero is a buddy of mine. He just wanted constant led on when controller is active (plugged in). Basically we just want to know where a +5v or +3.3v connection would be.

pin 5 will read 5v, check with multimeter. both controllers can draw upto 750mA combined, so a LED will be no problem.

    Code:
        LOOKING AT THE PLUG
            -------------------------------
     PIN 1->| o  o  o | o  o  o | o  o  o |
            \_____________________________/

    PIN # USAGE

1.DATA (Signal from Controller to PSX.)
2.COMMAND (Signal from PSX to Controller)
       3.N/C (9 Volts unused)
       4.GND
5.VCC (can vary from 5V down to 3V)
       6.ATT (select)
7.CLOCK (Signal from PSX to Controller)
       8.N/C
9.ACK (Acknowledge signal from Controller to PSX)
