Clear Case Question
I am rather new to the PS2 modding scene, but i decided to give it a try and bought one of those clear cases. Not the flip top ones. And as son as I opened the package i was confused about a strange some parts i didnt expect to find.
First of all i got a screw whith the case, and i have no idea what it is for. I guess it has something to do with the other part I am confused about. This part is made out of a more flexible plastic (or lets say not as brittle as the rest of the case) that is not entirely clear but somewhat opaque.
If anyone knows what this part is for, please let me know.
do u have a picture of it i think it was ment for the case on a v9
Im going to post a pic tomorrow. So far i guess the piece has to do with the eject and power button assembly, because it has two pins that fit perfectly into one of the two button asseblies that came with the case. So it might be there for the newer ps versions that have the IR module. Anyways, ill get a pic tomorrow.
never mind, I just figured it out. That piece is indeed part of the power button assembly for PS2s with the built in remote sensor. It is a workaround to makje the case fit those consoles too. Its hard to figure it out if you dont have a newer console. So i had no way of knowing until a friend of mine told me. He has a clear case on a v10 i think.
where did u get the not flip clear case?
post a picture of your new clear case.
