changing video-out resolution

im not sure if anyone has done this mod... well it could be done either software way of hardware way, and the aim is to "up" the output resolution. using component-out the ps2 outputs 480i or 480p. well im thinking about forcing it to output in 720i or 720p. obviously it will result in some frame drop and stuff, but most of the games doesnt get 100% CPU usuage anyways.

as i said, it could be done by modifing the video-out chipset, or by modifing the game itself. well this is the mod section so we'll just stick to the chipset. anybody had any ideas?

I think you mean tutorial, your games will lag like nothing else though won't they cuz of low frame rate.

one option could be to use a vga box so PS2 can output that resolution on your moniter... this is the hardware way..
