hello i want to change the from power led to red. its a bi color led and switching 2 wires coming from the power and eject cable (i have a v1 so they are individual wires not a ribbon) would make the led red when playing and green when you power it on. i dont know which wires to switch so i am asking for your help. and i would also just like to make no led on when i power on (not when playing) i dont know if i can just cut the ground coming off the green led. but any help would be apriciated. ill give any of you a free gmail invite if desired also.

I think they are the 4 to the right cause I tear the 4 cables(of the ribbon) and now I the leds dont light up but the eject and power still work so I dont know if the ribbon and the cables of v1 are in the same order bur check it out you are lucky you have wires just chop 2 from the right and if the leds dont light up they are the led wires if they are not just put them back together
    hope that helps

depending on the version, 1 set up has 2 seprate surface mounts and another has 1 bicolor and 1 normal.

    but it can be done
