Is it possible to take an PC-DVD-Rom for Notebooks and put it in the PS2?
Instead of this f..king PS2-CDVD-Rom? What are the wires for the PS2-CDVD-Rom? Has someone a plan about what each wire is for?

wow a pc dvd rom uses ide and the ps2 dvd rom used small ass retarded ribbon cables so no you cant.
is the controller board for the CDVD Rom on the drive or on the MB? you would at least think that some of the sony combo drives would be using the same laser assembly setup (possibly with a better laser) that might be convertable.
i dont really see the point, first of all it would cost more, it would be a lot more work, its very very unlikely that it would read originals, its not worth the time or money at all.
