    Hey guys.
As you can see I'm totaly new to the scene. It took me forever to find custom case jobs for ps2. Don't wanna sound rude or anything, but what? 2 PAGES ONLY! lol. I need to see some more...

I just got a ps2 3-4 days ago and decided to start modding it already. I painted it and fitted a custom PC grill on the top. Now, I have made tons of xbox casing but guess what, first ps2 ever! I was thinking of fitting some LEDs to light up the bottom grill and another to light my custom top grill. First tought that came to mind was powering them from the USB ports. But then again, I'm probably gonna end up using them later on. I've already tested the LEDs and they're exacly 5v. (tried them from the outside when the ps2 was on) Now, if this is the only way, I guess I'll fit them that way, but maybe someone could tell me if its possible to find 2 5v points from a standby power source, like from the PSU. (kinda like a nightlight)

I'm only gonna need 2 points cause I'm only gonna fit 2 5v LEDs.
please, lets hope my plans can come true.

U can check for old instalation cheets. i think some old chip used 5v.
3.3v is easy to find, it's used on almost everymodchip nowdays.

you can also use the 12v point on the powersupplycard then put the leds in series witch will give the leds 6v eatch.

But i pure 5v point.. i dont know.

Yeah, I'm not sure about LEDs in series,(would be a mess the way I plan on installing them) but I did find the 12v points on the PSU yesterday surfing the net. I guess I'm gonna connect them there along with a 350ohm resistor on each. Should be enought. Thx for the reply.

Just finished mine not long ago. I put 2 LEDs in series for the front grill, didn't even need a resistor. (6v I guess) And I used a 350ohm resistor for a single LED on the top grill. I'll post some pics later on I guess...when I have some free time. Looks real nice.
