Yet another swap magic question... (sorry ^^)
Yet another swap magic question... (sorry ^^) –

I've just had my swapmagic 3.6 delivered and I thought it would be easy to burn a copy of any game. I only had like 3 cds available to me this morning when I got it so I thought "hey, what the hell, lets give it a go." The game I was burning was Soul Reaver 2 which I got from a certain donkey assisted program to replace my original copy (which has long since been retired). This ISO is about 700 megs so I assume its a cd game.
I used Nero to open the cue file and let it do the rest at 4x (read up alot about burnin for ps2 and they say slower is better). When the burn is complete I popped the SM3.6 into the pstwo, loads up fine so I put in the newly burned Soul Reaver 2 disc and all it says is "Not a PS2 game."
Naturally I assumed something went wrong with the burn and tried again, same settings, same speed, same result. At this point I was a little frustrated and I thought it may just be the ISO (its a paradox release and runs on PCSX2). So I decided to use the last disc on another 700 meg ISO, a game called Dropship (again downloaded from same program as SR2).
Burn it the same way as SR2 and I get the same result.
Other things I probably should mention here are :
My pstwo is a 75003, slimline
the flip top lid that came with the discs is really "touchy" if I tip off it it like trys to re scan the disc or something.
The SM3.6 DVD disc doesnt boot automatically but if i put it in after loading the SM3.6 CD disc and boot it from that, it says "Not a PS2 disc" but boots the DVD version anyway.
Don't think I left anything out, hope you can help, any assistance would be greatly appreciated

ok first off i have a few solutions for you but downloading from p2p to get ps2 games is piracy.
P.S. Try changing video option fixed my problems with "legal" backups of my ps2 games.

I own the games already, but I've tried everything! I backed up Resi X Code Veronica today with DVD decryptor, and burnt it with DVD decryptor, loaded up swap magic, put in FFX as a TOC disc then put in the Resi evil disc, screen went red as if it was going to work, thenit just went to the browser menu saying "no data".
Tried it with FFX, GTA VC and Hitman Contracts to no avail.
Ive tried every tutorial and now what Im planning to do is put an exploit on my memory card by getting swap magic to load .elf files off a usb drive. so far the .elfs load but nothing else works...

I can confirm that Resi Code Veronica works with SM3.6. And GTA too!
But what i don´t understand: Why is your SM DVD not bootable??
Mine boots up fine and i never got any problems with it.
Try to burn your games with Alc120% at the slowest speed. Take good cd/dvds like Verbatim.
And make your iso with dvd dectrypter from your original dvd.
Another solution: I read you have a USB drive. Try it with usb extreme. So you can play from your usb drive. But many games don´t work with it and the videos hang very often because of the slow tranfer speed.
