ok i have tried every thing on this entire site to get my hdtv player to work. i have orginial disc but it will not load backup games. so i tried putting slus elf from disc onto mc. no luck. my ps2 is modded with toxic os and dms4 and i am using launchelf 4.01. when l-elf loads from cd at top of screen is says failed to load cnf but i can still use program like normal. when i show cnf where to load it then says path=ok, still no hd player. it always hangs at start screen with orginal and backups. can anybody help me out with this. do i need to use newer l-elf and load it from mc instead of cd. when i open my drive cover to put in games is it screwing up the process. this product is my answer to 480p since my tv is old and upscaler sucks bad. also can somebody tell me how to get launchelf to my mc and boot it from there before game disc starts to read. thanks in advance.

I have tried numerous ways in order to get the HDTV Player to work on my PS2, with nothing but failures... Hanging at "Starting Game" screen and game loading up all garbled and barely recognizable.

What did work however is the MC Exploit for Phat PS2's.

I installed the Independence Exploit onto my MC (with ULE packaged with the installer), then put the HDTV ELF file onto my HDD.

I then turned on my PS2 with Chrono Cross inserted (This was my set trigger disk).

ULE Booted up as it should and I opened the CD Tray and inserted my Retail version of Final Fantasy XII.

Loaded the ELF, then the HDTV Player loaded up.

I chose my desired resolution, in this case 480p and started my game...

This was the only way I could get this to work properly.

I am using a CC 1.1... this works whether the chip is active or not.

I still however can not get it to work with any of my backups since my Swap Magic DVD is scratched and no longer works.

To work backups you just insert the swap magic disk when in ULE.

Load the ELF file and choose your desired resolution.

When Swap Magic loads you then open the tray and swap disks with you backup.

Now start game as you normally would with Swap Magic.
