Weird occurance using PSTwo and PS1 Swap

Well you probably know about the ps1 backup booting trick for PSTwo.. if not, search for my post. Anyway I burnt a PS2 Memory Card Exploit Installer CD (before you say anything I know the exploit doesnt work on PSTwo, i was just playing around). Anyway, using my PS1 trick, instead of putting a ps1 backup in, I put in the exploit PS2 CD-R. It then boots into this image:

Normally when you put in a PS2 CD-R it just sits at a black screen, but the exploit CD brings up this image, then reads some more form the CD, before finally not doing anything. What could this mean? Did it copy the files to my memory card (even though I cant use the exploit doesn't mean it wouldn't copy the files).. Does the exploit installer have a GUI? Is it running the ELF file? OR is it simply just freezing? It is strange because it does read data before and after this corrupted PS1 BIOS image appears... Very interesting.

So you were booting your exploit installer in psx mode?

Well it does this on non psx games from wat i remember. If u put in a ps2 game and force into psx it shoudl do the same..

Any other PS2 CD-R/Original just give black screen, doesnt even go that far.

so theres no way the ghetto swap method can load a PS2 backup even if i use a ps2 original disc as a swap disc?

PS2 does way too much security checking to swap it this way, however I am experimenting with 1:1 Patched backups, howerver no one else wants to try so I guess its on hold until I get a DVD burner...

1:1 Patched Ps2 Backup details:
When you swap a disc with a 1:1 backup of it, it will work with the burnt CD. It has to be an exact copy, propertly burnt, and of the same Media (CD->CD, DVD->DVD). It will continue to load files off the burnt media after you swap (swap while its loading or at some sort of menu/press start screen). My idea is to take a game that launches other ELF files (such as an OPM Disc, which each demo is an ELF that is launched, and patch the disc image before the 1:1 is burnt, and patch one of the demo elfs with an elf of your choice (i've been trying ExecFTPs). I haven't had success with blue-bottom CDs, it runs the patched backup but ExecFTPs doesnt load (game doesnt crash either), so I figure try OPM, because it has a more direct approach. However I dont have a DVD burner at the moment so I can't try it...

but is it possible to load burned ELF discs by using a ps1 original? maybe burn a ARM Evo, Gameshark or even Sw@p M@gic (all in ELF files and launch it via keylaucher and such)to load ps2 backups

Well then i help you my friend i am interested on this too and i have a DVD burner, my pstwo is not modded but i would like to play backups without beating the ass out of my expensive toy and i have 2 PSX originals and 3 DVD Ps2 games and the online startup disc so... then yo could contact me via MSN y send ya a PM ok?
