i did look at theat, issues is i have no money for that, currently unemployed so no way of doing that sadly

having issues, doing the switch, i make the switch, and it says please insert a real game, i'm using mgs3 for this

not all games are suitable for this , the best games are 007 or a high TOC , and has to contain a .elf in the original game ,you also have to find out what triggers the .elf

Based on my research when I did this hack in February, the only game that works with it on Slim PS2s is Agent Under Fire. I personally did it via my friend's fat PS2 using FIFA 2004 (even though this game wasn't on any compatibility lists, I just tried it and it worked out).

Initially I tried MGS3 on my Slim PS2 but it didn't work. I think it would've worked on my friend's fat, except it wasn't reading MGS3 for some reason >_<
