Now, is that possible? Do I have to do some special things, or get a mem card with something on it, or what? I'm a noob, so if you could explain terms to me that i've seen around the forum that'd be cool.

get install FMCB check my signature
So what does that do for me? or more of why is that required?
with swap magic u can boot any dvd or cd iu want.
however... when installing FMBC (wich is possible with your swap magic disks)
u can turne your ps2 into very handy machine
a machine wich is a lot more fun and easy to use instead of swap magic.
basicly, FMBC installs an extra menu in your standard, ps2 menu.
from there u can choose many apps like uLaunchelf, ESR(playing backup games)
HDLoader, SMS and so on.
so u dont need to swap any more discs, ánd u can do a LOT more with it!
FMBC is like a modchip actually, also known as "softmod" because u dont need to change any hardware.
its very easy, simple and above all...its free![]()
heh, well thanks a lot for the info. But I still need SM to install then right? Thats alright, though. but I'm sure I'll look into it now, thanks a lot for the info.
yeah you need to a way to be able to read backups and Homebrew
Ummm, someone correct me if I am wrong. If an installer sets up the mem card for this fellow and he puts it on his PS2, it should work WITHOUT swap magic.
Ask someone in the installer list to set it up for you with uLaunchELF and ESR and you should be able to run backups and also homebrew.
Mine was setup and that was it, no mucking around, the FMCB menu came straight up. Never been modded previously and no swap disc.
