welllll.......the idea is this...boot your unmoded or moded ps2 or whaever
..... with the exploit method.but before..make the the default elf or boot.elf the prog known as ps2menu, now with it ....browse youre cd directory and
launch the file with name similar to "SLUS_203.44" that should be an elf file
and that should launch the game on the cd or dvd!!!
NOW where i'm stock is here....the ps2menu when browsing the cd or dvd directory gives it with no contents even if the files are actually are there, but
notice when you put an original ps2dvd it will display its contents.....so...what i'm thinking of is some kind of limitation the author of ps2menu have put in it!!!is there someone who could modify the prog to let it browse normaly backuped files????

I can't browse any files on any cd/dvd that isn't a playstation game... I think that the PS2 blocks reading of a non Playstation game disc....
I wanted to use it to copy over MP3s to the HDD...
also I've found that MP3 player program will boot but I still can't read files from the CD I put in.... so I don't think it is a program limitation I think Sony has an extended protection system... also note that UMCDR must be used to fool the PS2 to allow AR MAX to run files through it... which by the way is a major pain in the a$$.

When you want to load a burned cd with files on it you can't use the eject button. Assuming you still have the cd you used to boot ps2menu in, use the knife trick/slide card to put in your burned cd and then select the cd for browsing. Your files should now show up there.

I'm gonna go the easy way... FLiptop and a No solder mod chip..... I'd like a DMS3 I just don't trust myself soldering in the system....

You don't need a flip to AND a no solder mod, both would be a waste. Just get one or the other. I opted for the no solder mod and it works quite well, but either would do the trick for you.
