Swapping ruin slim ps2s?

I have been swapping my old style PS2 for a long time.. Someone told me today that if you swap you ruin your ps2 and destory the eye..

Any truth to this?

do u mean using a swaptool? it could hurt ur disc drive motors but not the laser (eye).

They seemed to think the actaul dvds would ruin the eye.. Maybe if you use cheap dvds. I dunno

If you stay away from DVD-RWs and DVD+R's you should have no problem.

The laser exposes radiation which will ruin your eyes if you open your PS2!

dvd+r shouldnt make much difrence than - ones
