Swapmagic 3.8 PAL + burnt backups just not working with silver slimline

Hey guys, I've installed Switch Pro into my PAL silver slimline, and together with swapmagic(PAL) I am able to play games from other regions(NTSC).
However, when it comes to playing burnt copies of games, it doesn't work at all. It either stays on the 'booting cd' screen for a while after I swap and select normal mode, or it goes to a black screen.

I burnt a copy of Katamari Damacy to try, first at 16x then at 4x, and at 16x I left the copy in for a long time after the black screen and finally the Katamari loading image showed up at the bottom of the screen, but all it did was continue loading. Once, it went to the opening cutscene I think, but only half of the first frame, and then froze.

At 4x, it just kept loading, after a long while after the black screen.

What could be the issue?

did you rip from the original or download them?

there's your problem. buy the game, then ask for help. pirated sotware comes with no warranty or support.
