cant you just download swapmagic on the internet and burn to a disc and use it as swapmagic so you can play ps2 games on the ps3?

I don't even know where to begin on why that won't work, makes no sense based on what the swap magic does, how it works, what the PS3 lacks...

Edit: Forgive me if this sounds rude - This shouldn't even be in the PS2 forum --- You're asking about the PS3.... and actually - this should be closed since its a question that has been asked and answered before, and with even a tiny amount of research (search would be a good place to start), wouldn't need to be asked...

well could i just block the sensor instead of fitting switch sensor as i do not want to affect the value of the console in the future???

    1. Which PS2-Version?
    2. Why do you even want to use Swap Magic?
    3. What do you mean by ' no modding or software on my ps2 ??'?

The PS2 can't be 'flashed' (or similar) by software...
If software for the PS2 is installed somewhere, it is clearly not on the PS2...
    Why don't you try FMCB?
    PS2 V7/DMS3 V2 (FW:2.4b7); Seagate Baracuda 200GB
    PS2 V7/CC1.0 (FW:34 hacked v2 BM:2.1.6); Maxtor DiamondMAX9 PLUS 160GB
    PS2 SCPH-30004R; NoMod+NoLaser

    3xSony BBA
    3xSony MC 8MB
    MAX/Datel 16MB with Boot-CD
    MAX/Datel 32MB&64MB

    Custom FMCB 1.8b+ Beta-Build, my AIO 0.5, Sony&xRhino-Linux
