Swap magic with cheat codes

I have PS2 V10, swap magic, and slide card. Does any one know how to boot the backup with cheat code on, such as using gameshark or codebreaker. If yes, which version should I buy?

Can't be done.

I know some forums will tell you that it is possible.
It is NOT... Trust me I have tried everything and it is not possible.
I've tried GS, AR, AR2, GS1.9, and the new AR MAX. I've even went so far as to reformat my old dongle with different versions of the GS and AR.

It just doesn't work.

It is possible to get the GS1.9 and install the software from it onto a newer dongle and then use a newer version GameShark. This will make the disc stop spinning so you can do the slide trick but it rarely works and costs so much money and time to do your just better of getting an Action Replay Max and downloading save files from the net.
