Hmmm. I remember you from wiinewz quite some time ago. We had quite the arguement on your 'backups' primarily coming from the internet.
But I'm going to be the bigger person here and look the other way for a moment.
First up, look in the homebrew>FreeVAST subforum. There you will find the official release of FMCB 1.8b, as well as tutorials JNABK and myself have written to guide you on installing it.
Also, you'll want to stay away from the slim PS2's if at all possible. You'll mainly want to get a old school fat ps2 with a net work adapter. This will allow you to use FMCB to load HDLoader. A program to load ISO files from the hard drive to play. While it is not 100% compatibile, you'll find it is faster and more reliable to play games that way rather than using your laser.
Like Wii systems, the PS2 lasers can be sensative at times, but not as much as the Wii's.
With the hard drive, and using HDL (patched to version 0.8c) you can use a hard drive up to 2TB (or 256 games. whichever comes first)
Last, you can use that swapmagic you have to install FMCB (refer to the tutorials) Makes it easy as hell to do it.
If you need help, post a question in the
forums, not my PM inbox. Thank you.
