    Hey guys,

I have Swap Magic 3.6 with a fliptop on my pstwo slim. When I can get it to boot a game it seems to be doing pretty well. However he's my problem.

About 75% of the time, when I try to swap out a game, the pstwo starts spinning before I try to boot the new game. For example, I'll be taking out the swap cd, and while I put in the new one and my finger is still touching the cd, it tries to start spinning. Whenever this happens, the tv will either show a new screen that says "larger TOC disc required" (or somethin galong those lines), or "not a valid ps2 disc".

Any idea on why this is happening? I always wait for the disc to completely stop before I remove it.

Never heard of that problem before. The only reason the disc should start spinning is because you've pressed a button on the joypad. You sure you're not pressing against one accidently? Or it could be a fault with your joypad.

Yea, not pressing any buttons. Does it matter if my memory card has smbootX.elf on it (x is a number)?

Also, it kind of seems like it happens when i push down on the dvd game to click it into place... could any force on the dvd drive cause it to start trying to read again?

Are you taking it out when it refreshes the TOC? Let it finish that part first, then swap. Also make sure that the sensors aren't working since it's the new ps2, and it uses those (I think...)

I wait until the disc stops spinning.

I think I found the problem... It deals with the flip-top. It's a little loose (the part that actually clicks into the PS2, the way that dvds are supposed to be inserted into the system). If I push down on the corner closest to the reset button on the top of the ps2, it starts spinning the disc.

I'm guessing this is just because it's loose. However, this means that the flip top that I have to use to for swap magic can't be closed, otherwise the downward force of it will push down the corner and make the ps2 start spinning.

Anyone experience this problem, or know of a fix? I'm pretty sure I installed the flip-top right...

    Thanks for all the help!

You could stick a piece of tape on there when you want to play a game...
