Are the newer PSTWOs compatible with Swap Magic 3.6? I am thinking of buying a SCPH-70012CB. The Swap Magic homepage says, "Swap Magic 3 comes with better compatibility and support all PS2 model including PS Two SCHP-70000." I don't know how often they update but it would seem if 70012 is newer than 70000. So does anyone know?
From what I know the Swap Magic 3.6 set works with the latest PSTwo Slim consoles. You just have to deiced which route you wanna go. Either Flip-Top w/Swap Magic or Magic Switch Pro but there is some info from Swap Magic 3 site that the v12 PWTwo Slim doesn't work with the Magic Switch(Sony stuck some kind of blockage for that switch). There are some pictures over there for you to view about this change to the PSTwo Slim & I don't have the exact URL. There is a v13 out now but I don't know anything about this console though. ;)
What method would work best for PS2 SCPH-50010/N,
(i think it is V9, the date code is 3C)
ie: use Swapmagic 3.6 disc and the slide tool to play my CD-R, DVD-R discs
also, i'm wandering if I can even copy the original PS2 games with my Pioneer DVR-109 burner?? ie: NHL 2005 game. I read somewhere that it can't do past SafeDisc v2.8
PS2 games do not and cannot use Safedisc.
Your 109 should be fine.
