    Hi,

I am trying to follow DV8's guide on memcard exploit using the INSTALLER CD. I created the CD following the instructions.

but I am having difficulties on booting the cd using swap magic 3.3.

I am using the swap magic 3.3 DVD version, it can't recognize the INSTALLER CD.

Am I supposed to use the swap magic 3.3 CD version? I tried, it seems my ps2 doesn't recognize the CD version.

Can anyone give me some advice?

    BTW, I got a V9 PS2.

    Thanks a lot.

hmmm all ps2 should be ablt to boot the 3.3

but i think it's because ur TOC is tooo low heh... since it's pretty small

if u got sony cd/dvd gen or that other FREE builder, add like a 200-300mB dummy file to push it outer ^^ that SHOULD help it heh..

if it doens't try us'n dvdloader (or cdloader if u can get that to boot) then refresh the toc wit a small ORIGINAL ps2/ps1 disk ^^ that should also boot it up heh

I tried to add a 200M file to the cd image and burned another CD, still can't recognize it.

It seems that I can't even make swap magic 3.3 CD Version to boot.
Only swap magic 3.3 DVD version can boot my ps2.

    Any thought?

    Thanks a lot.

    Try this:

    1. Boot Swapmagic DVD v3.3
    2. Press eject (tray opens - screen says "insert toc disc")
    3. Insert Swapmagic CD v3.3
    4. Press eject (tray closes ....wait untill it spins down)
    5. Swap in your cd-r (using fliptop/slidekey or other)
    6. Press x (and it boots)

If u cant boot your Swapmagic CD u can try this:
    1. Boot Swapmagic DVD v2.0 or v3.3
    2. Press eject (tray opens - screen says "insert toc disc")
    3. Insert Swapmagic CD v2.0, v3.0 or v3.3
    4. Press eject (tray closes and it spins down)
    5. press X (and it boots .... usually...and it might take up to a minute)
